By the way...
Just started school again, and have been in charge of taking people to work during both the first and third shift, so I haven’t had much time to sleep or work on the blog. Doesn’t help that I’ve been stuck with a netbook while I run around taking people everywhere, and it’s terribly unfriendly dealing with tens of thousands of graphic files at one time. I’ll be back...

haylsifer asked: More fish? Or do you have anything on small animals? Chinchillas, guinea pigs, and other currently domesticated rodents? I know the essential history of the chinchilla being brought to the United States but aside from that, I'm at a loss. Also, I feel like you might possibly enjoy the books "300 Frogs: A Visual Reference to Frogs and Toads from Around the World" and...

vexedquestions asked: I notice you didn't mention degreasing in your bone post, though I've heard it's necessary even after the dermestidae have done their job. Do you degrease, and if so, what's your preferred method?

Anonymous asked: I was just reading your 'bone cleansing' question, and leaving bones to cleanse in the open (where only birds and bugs can get to) isn't a good thing to do? Should I leave them there or bury them now?

Tell me how to cleanse my bones.
prestongervais asked: biomedicalephemera: If you want to cleanse bones inside a body, I can’t help you, and you should probably seek professional help. If they’re outside a body, remove all the flesh and fat that you can, soak it in water (DONT boil it) and put it in a warm location where the smell wont bother you. Dump out the nasty water every few days and replace it. If you have a garden,...

guthbrand asked: Have you heard of the TV show Horrible Histories? I know many of their sketches do not relate to this blog, but a fair amount do. Like the 'Historical Hospital' sketches, where doctors from various time periods use their cures on modern people.
